National Philanthropy Day Awards Ceremony & Reception

Every day, Islanders contribute to causes they love and generate social change that transforms our community for the good. The National Philanthropy Day Awards Ceremony acknowledges the dedication and passion of finalists in the following categories:

  • Generosity of Spirit Award, sponsored by The United Way of Greater Victoria
  • Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer Award, sponsored by Coast Capital
  • Outstanding Philanthropic Service Club Award sponsored by Camosun College
  • Corporate Responsibility Award, sponsored by the University of Victoria
  • Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (5-10 years old), sponsored by the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island
  • Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (11 - 18 years old), sponsored by TELUS

After the awards ceremony, Kathy LeMay will share the courageous story of how she came to embrace her own inner philathropist and the generosity plan process she formalized to help lead others to some of the worlds most important social change efforts of our time.

Non-Member Cost: $75/ticket

Being a fundraiser can be scary, intimidating and overwhelming work. It can also be one of the most rewarding and passion filled roles of your life. Join your local chapters of CAGP and AFP for intimate evening with Kathy LeMay, as we explore what it means to take on the important role of raising money for change in our community.

This session includes a three course meal, interactive discussion and the opportunity to ask Kathy your most burning questions about how you can inspire others to build vibrant communities in support of the causes you work for and love.

AFP Vancouver Island Event Cancellation Policy

AFP Vancouver Island reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.

If AFP cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.

Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.

 

Registration Cancellation by Participant

Refunds will be issued for cancelations recived prior to November 1st, 2017.  No refunds will be issued after this date.

Registration cancellations received prior to the deadline may be eligible to receive a refund less a $10 service fee.

Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.

Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.

Cancellations will be accepted via phone or e-mail, and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.

All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder.

Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment.

These above policies apply to all AFP Vancouver Island events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly.
